Cross Linking

Crosslinking and adhesive strength as well are major characteristic determining the life time of photovoltaic solar panel. They are vary in curing temperature and time.

It is recommended to evaluate crosslinking rate of EVA as follow,

  • Take approximately 1 gm of cured EVA sample by analytical balance.
  • Put it in 350 ml xylene liquid at 140℃ and leave it for 5 hours.
  • Dry it in oven at 140℃ for another 3 hours.
  • Measure sample weight [gel content =100% x (non-dissolved content weight / original weight)]

If Gel content is more than 70%, it meets the requirement.
