Glass Chemically Strengthening Equipment

Features

Notes

Glass Washing

Potassium salt may adhere to glass surface after ion exchanging. Glass washing is required if necessary.

Fully Melted Salt

When the system is started up at the first time, potassium salt and catalyst inside ion-exchange tank are heated up until they are fully melted. Glass batch is always dipped inside the tank when the chemicals are fully melted.

Salt & Catalyst Refill

The process consumes very little potassium salt and catalyst. Refilling of potassium salt and catalyst are required only when it is necessary.

Vary In Parameters

Parameters of pre-heating and ion-exchanging may slight vary in different glass compositions and glass residual stress. For example, soda lime glass takes longer bathing time while glass composed with magnesium, lithium and aluminum elements take shorter time when similar residual stress are required. Longer ion-exchanging time is required when higher mechanical strength is required.
