Stainless Steel Enclosure with Access Doors

The washing and drying sections are covered by a large chamber or enclosure which is completed in one piece. This covered design is guarantee to prevent water from leaking. All structures, frames and parts of the enclosure, directly or indirectly in contact with water, are made of 304 stainless steel.

The enclosure is equipped with 6 access doors (3 doors at each side). There are glass panel windows for observation during operation.

All doors come with safety switches. Pumps, conveyors, and blower would be shut down anytime when the doors are opened when the machine is running. Pumps, conveyors and blower could not be started up when doors are unlocked.

Enough spaces and access are available between machine and the enclosure to allow easy maintenance.

Sufficient numbers of spot lights are installed inside the enclosure. They are used for observation during operation and also maintenance during servicing as well. All the lights are waterproof.

There are enough spaces allowing the three water tanks, located at the bottom of the chamber, to be dragged out easily.

The glass entry section is covered by a piece of plastic curtain in order to avoid water from splashing out.

All transmission devices and instrumentation such as actuators, sensors, motors and reducers are installed outside the enclosure and are kept away from wet areas.

Conveying System

The curve glass is conveyed by two parallel belt conveyors driven by synchrony-wheels.

The contact between the belt and the glass is made of polyurethane.

The frame of the conveyors, conveying shafts and synchrony-wheels are made of stainless steel. The bearings and the bearing bottoms are also made of stainless.

Conveyor motor is put inside a stainless steel cover and is located outside of the enclosure to keep away from water.

Conveyor motor is controlled by a frequency inverter.

There are sensors in the inlet and outlet of the conveyors of the washing section. They are used to detect the glass when it enters in and exits out of the washing section.

Low & High Pressure Water Washing Sections

Water washing section is composed of

  • One pre-washing
  • One straight roller brush
    (with optional sprinkle tube)
  • Two high pressure rinse
  • One conical roller brush
    (option) (with optional sprinkle tube)
  • One rinsing

Each pump is equipped with

  • Filter (50μ), by-pass (manual ball valves), inlet and outlet pressure gauge
  • Floating flow meter with low flow alarm
  • Low pressure detector for high pressure pump
  • Manual discharge valve used for outlet pressure adjustment used for high pressure pump

Water tank is divided in three parts

  • One covering the pre-washing area
  • One for washing area
  • One for rinsing

Water supply to the tanks is guarantee by overflowing from the forestall tank and/or final rinse spraying bars, or it is automatically supplied by main water supply regulated by water level controllers installed in every tank.

In pre-washing area, an overflow allows water refilling into the tanks. A manual valve is provided.

Rinsing Section

This rinsing section is equipped with spraying bars with wide angle nozzles

  • All tanks are equipped with manual drainage valve. The tanks are slightly slope allowing water drained away thoroughly.
  • The tanks are covered with a stainless steel net preventing broken glass from falling into the tank. There are handles on the net for easily remove out for cleaning and maintenance.
  • The tanks of high pressure rinsing section are equipped with heaters to heat up the water. The water in the last rinsing section is not heated.
  • An over temperature safety protector is used to cut off the heating power when water temperature is above set value.
  • Automatic control valve and bypass are used to heat up the water anticipated to required temperature prior to production.
  • The incoming de-mineralized water is connected to the rinsing system by means of an automatic valve.
  • The tank of pre-washing section comes with a conductivity meter which is used to regulate the incoming fresh water. When the conductivity is increase, control valve of fresh water inlet is open. The water pump starts to work to run water to refill the tank.

Rotating Brushes Washing Section (Option)

This section is optional.

There are two pairs of conical brushes. Each pair consists of one top brush and one bottom brush.

The conical brushes could be raised up or lower down according glass shape.

Brush shafts (4) are driven by single motor controlled through inverter.

The height of the brush is electrically adjusted in order to follow the glass profile and is positioned by scale and index.

There are pinch rollers to ensure the glass is conveyed steadily.

All upper pinch rollers are fixed to the whole frame. The frame could be raised up and lowered down by cylinder for high pressure washing.

The frame is made of stainless steel. The pinch roller is made of stainless steel and rubber. The bearing is made of stainless steel protected is dust-proof.
