Glass Bending Ovens

Overview

Heat Loss & Energy Save

Well Controlled Of Heat Loss Saves Great Deal Of Energy & Production Cost Because Fuel Consumption is One of Major Costs For Bend Glass Production

Oven Seal & Insulation

Oven connections should be well sealed preventing heat dissipation especially oven door and sealing between wagon and oven walls. Heat preservation materials should be carefully selected and thick enough. After first heating of a brand new oven, oven structure may be slightly distorted. Adequate remedial of measures should be carried out to prevent further heat loss.

Extended Metal Parts

Metal components extending outside oven body is one of major factors of heat loss. Heat conducted via metal to environment. Oven should be designed such that there are least metal components exposed.

Observation Windows

Numbers of window should be kept as less as possible but are enough for observation during operation. They should be small but large enough for observation convenient. Windows and oven walls should be well sealed. Windows should be thermally insulated and resistant to high temperature.

Heat Resistors

They should be properly distributed across oven. Power of each resistor should be correctly calculated. The faster is the heating, the faster temperature increased. Glass gains enough energy for bending while oven body does not absorb too much heat. This consumes less energy. It also reduces temperature decreasing time and thus, increases productivity. However, too fast heating may result in glass cracking or poor quality for certain kinds of glass. Experience is required for optimization bending skills.
