Operation

Loading of First Glass

One of the wagons is at loading area with open top. Bending mould and glass are loaded onto wagon. Wagon is moved into heating chamber along rail tracks passing through annealing station.

Heating of First Glass & Loading of Second Glass

Glass starts to be heated up with all heating resistors turned on. When it becomes soft, it slowly falls down and approaches to bending mold by means of gravity. Operator begins to turn off proper heating resistors with respect to glass curvature until glass edges get in contact around the rim of bending mould. While glass is being heated and bent, next bending mould and next glass are loaded in another wagon at another loading station. Notes: due to actual production, loading of next glass may not be happened when first glass is being heated.

Annealing of First Glass & Heating of Second Glass

First glass is annealed in heating chamber. If necessary, wagon is moved to annealing station to allow annealing in a better and efficient way. While heating chamber is empty, another wagon is moved, bringing another bending mould and another glass, into heating chamber. Heating and bending of next glass are begun. Notes: due to actual production, heating of next glass may not be happened when first glass is being annealed.

Cooling of First Glass & Annealing of Second Glass

When annealing of first glass is accomplished, first wagon moves to unloading area where the glass is loaded. It is then cooled. Meanwhile, bending of second glass is accomplished. It is then annealed. Notes: due to actual production, annealing of next glass may not be happened when first glass is being cooled.

Unloading of First Glass & Cooling of Second Glass

When first glass is cooled enough for handling, glass is unloaded and removed. Meanwhile, Meanwhile, annealing of next glass may be accomplished and is moved to cooling station for cooling down. Notes: due to actual production, cooling of next glass may not be happened when first glass is being unloaded.

Loading of Third Glass & Unloading of Second Glass

After first glass is unloaded, third glass is loaded on bending mould. If glass type is changed, bending mould is replaced by corresponding bending mould. Bending, annealing and cooling cycle of third glass are repeated. Meanwhile, second glass is cooled enough for unloading. Notes: due to actual production, unloading of second glass may not be happened when third glass is being loaded.

Principle

There is only one heating chamber but with two annealing stations and two loading/unloading stations. Principle of operation is to keep heating chamber in fully utilization. While one certain procedure of one glass is being carried out, another glass is being loaded, heated, bent, annealed, cooled or unloaded. Heating chambers always loaded with glass is the basic design concept of this glass cooking oven. This is to minimize heating chamber downtime and thus, maximizing productivity.
