Brief description

This machine is used to remove the coating at the edge of glass surface. Some of the glass coating would affect the adhesion with the insulated glass sealant and so edge deletion is necessary such that the sealant would be in direct contact with the glass instead with the coating material.

It is an easy operated machine with almost maintenance free.

Structure

ED-SA comes with a table with sturdy metal structure. On the two sides of the table, there are two motors, one motor on each side. The motor is fixed on a plate and it is movable to and fro along a rail guide. A grinding wheel is put on the motor spindle.

There are registration pads along the table for glass positioning. A vacuum cup system is equipped to prevent the glass from moving when edge deleting.

Operation

Glass is put on the table manually. The glass is then moved against the positioning pads along the table sides for registration. When it is done, the vacuum cup is on to fix the glass.

Motor is then switched on to edge delete the first glass side. After the first edge coating is removed, then operator moves to the other side to edge delete the second side. If fast production is required, two operators can operate at the same time. After the two edges are coating removal, then the glass is moved manually so that another two non-edge deleted sides are placed on the sides of the grinding motors. Then the coating removal cycle is repeated.
